Talk About What You Would Like
If you wish to live long, you must be willing to grow old.
~George Lawton, author
In today’s lesson, you are going to learn how to talk about what you would like.
WOULD LIKE is often used as a polite form of WANT.
E.g. I want some tea.
I would like some tea. (This sounds more respectful.)
Remember
WOULD= WILL +-ed (Unreal past)
Therefore, WOULD LIKE expresses a desire that you are not sure of satisfying.
